Fingerless glove

looking for what's missing... I'm a knitting, spinning, mother of teenagers with a big dog, a small cat, minus the lovely rabbit Meliflua.

And now for something completely different

I have been working away pretty steadily at my latest circular lace shawl. I used to be a knitter that had several projects on the go at once, but over the last couple of years, I have become more of a one-thing-at-a-time gal. Someone might draw all kinds of commitment conclusions; I think I just happen to like what I am working on.

That doesn't mean I don't take an occasional break, like this little Christmas ornament, a slight modification of a pattern Jan taught at the guild last year.

Here's the original except I threw in yarnover knit 2 together instead of plain knitting between the beads:

For my third one (no photos of my second one), I used pale blue yarn, crystal beads, stretched it over a pearl white ball and added double yarn overs so it is lacier.

(It works best if you squint your eyes a bit. I do miss Cass. She used to take my photos!)

You are so creative! I hope I get a chance to see that one in person, although not in November, as I won't be at the meeting!

My sister-in-law has requested lessons in the beaded ornaments, so when I can knit again, I'll teach her my pattern, then yours with the yarnover, k2tog. Not sure I understand what you've done on this last one, although I like what I can see!

Really pretty.

Could you use yarn with gold or silver threads woven through it (if there is such a thing, you can see I am not yarn smart) to give it even more "glitz"?
